want English to find better work.
so we practice interviews together
we list our strengths

and are asked to move online
and not print anymore
and buy more devices
and connect differently
my landlord won’t allow pets
but there is a maple sapling
growing in the camelia bed
by the front stoop
we want to replant it
in a space that honors
its fight to find light
and give shade
in land where
we are all
